What is Okkto?

Okkto ( /ˈok.to/ | awk-toe was co-founded and created by Eli Sasich & Patrick Thompson in June 2020. Born of their love for all things pop culture, Eli and Patrick pulled from their many years of experience in the film industry as directors, producers, and (most importantly) as fans, in an effort to celebrate their favorite stories and characters. Combining this experience with a background in design and information technology, Okkto was created by and for collectors!

At Okkto, through both our in-house design team and collaborations with our favorite artists, we bring you exclusive new collectibles based on your favorite movies, television shows, comics, games, and characters. Sustained by a passionate collecting community, we produce our own line of original creations, including limited-run watches, pens, designer vinyl toys, resin figures, collectible coins, pins, posters, and more. Whether through our pop culture collectible store or one of our distributors, we’re constantly growing and adding new collectibles to the community, so be sure to sign up for our newsletter so you don't miss out on a release!

Okkto Logo

What does ‘Okkto’ mean?

Okkto is a play on ‘okto’ which means ‘eight’ in Greek. Why two ‘K’s’? Each ‘K’ has four points (2 x 4 = 8) representing the eight tentacles of an octopus. See how smart we are? 🙃 'Eight' is also in reference to the Eight Categories of Collecting™ that we have come up with:

  1. Toys
  2. Figures
  3. Replicas
  4. Art
  5. Doodads
  6. Apparel
  7. Media
  8. Games

Likewise, our company mascot is an octopus – Oskar the Okktobot™ is a friendly and mischievous creature, and you can learn more about them here. Oskar's tentacles also represent the different branches of our brand as we grow... and we have some very exciting things planned. But more on that later—we wouldn't want to spoil all the fun right up front.

Community

Okkto was created by collectors for collectors. The collecting community is vibrant, diverse, and exciting—and we’ve built a home for everyone. We want Okkto to be a destination for you, not just another brand.
